NYSCSS Annual Conference 2020
The New York State Council for the Social Studies will be holding its annual conference at the Albany Capital Center on March 12-14, 2020. This is the highlight of the year for social studies education, and we encourage you to attend.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gale Sookdeo, NYGA Board of Directors Member, will be presenting a workshop, "Constructing The Second Avenue Subway Line: A Geographical Perspective." The teachers and students at her school, P.S. 96 in East Harlem, have been studying the expansion of the Second Avenue northward. It will have important impacts on the people of Harlem in the coming years.
The New York Geographic Alliance will have a table in the exhibition area. If you are planning on attending this conference, stop by and see us.
