The New York Council for the Social Studies will be holding their annual convention at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye Brook, NY (Westchester County) on March 4-6, 2010. If you wish to submit a proposal to lead a workshop, you need to do so by Nov. 4, 2009. Registration materials should be available soon from the NYSCSS website (see below).
The New York Geographic Alliance encourages our members to attend this convention. We want to make sure that there is a geography presence in Rye Brook. We will have a table there, and we might be hosting a lunch on Friday March 5th. If you are presenting at NYSCSS, let us know. We will help you promote your workshop to increase attendance.
