The Association of Teachers of Social Studies (ATSS) and the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) are sponsoring the Greater Metropolitan New York Social Studies Conference to be held at the UFT headquarters on Broadway in Lower Manhattan on Saturday February 6, 2010.

At the present time they are looking for teachers to present at the the GMNYSSC conference. They are interested in workshops covering a "wide range of instructional formats, techniques and materials." Of course, there should be geography at the conference, so the NYGA encourages our members to seriously consider becoming a presenter at GMYSSC next February.
